David Webb, Joey's Only Public Apologist Adopts Joey's Community

He comes on here and calls us crazy, dumb asses and nuts, but on his facebook page he is friending up with quite a bit of Daubenistas. This would include Loraince, Loryn, Anthony, Presley, Daddy Dauben, and even Connie.

When you look at David's blog page, its clear he is a lonely old man desperate for some from of family or community to accept him as one of them. The problem for David though is this new family of his is going to turn out to be more problems than he ever bargained for as he will slowly start to discover what truly nutty people are capable of.

And, David called us "creeps". That's a new one. I know he's smarter than this but he exhibited the same behavior as Joey and the rest of Joey's cult. When they run out of viable argument to fairly and intelligently debate an issue, it's time to derail the debate by acting insulted, cuss everybody out, start name calling, then go away mad.

  2. Thanks for all the publicity. Real writers like that.

  3. Real writers like Joey the child molester, right?

I took a screenshot in case others decided to delete their comment. Apparently according to mama Dauben, JOEY HAD A REAL JOB. Really? Oh wow, then her baby Joey lied to the courts attempting to be indigent? Cheri? Any reason your baby would lie? Joey never lies. Negative 11 cents. What type of job did he have living with his grandma? elaborate

  4. When you write about me would you mind noting that I am the author of The Rare Reporter, which can be found at http:therarereporter.blogspot.com? Thanks!

    1. I always linked to your blog over at the old site. How else would you have explained your traffic?

    2. Most of my traffic comes from Facebook, which is why I have so many friends on it. I only recognized two of the people you named as being pat of Dauben's community. I accept everyone who sends a request.

I recognized 10 Daubenista names listed as friends.

      Eh, but who's counting?

    4. Everybody is welcome. I suspect some of you are on there too. I write for the public, not a specific group.

    5. your terminology throughout this post is interesting. "Real writers, author, I write for everyone". You are just like Joey in that you are in denial that you are now just a blogger posting things to his blog. Thats why you keep using that terminology and keep trying to play gotcha with me on things like posting Joey's victim's first name. You need to come out of the closet and admit who you are, you are David Webb a blogger. I'm a blogger, I admit it, I'm not bound by any journalistic standards other than not breaking the law. But this is true for you too, you are just a blogger, just like Joey, stop pretending to be something you are not (or used to be).

    6. There really is no comparison to be made between you and me. My experience on your blog has been nutty and creepy. I've tried today to be pleasant and respectful, but you obviously are only interested in hurling insults. So I give up.

  6. During my three-decade-plus career as a journalist I covered every type of trial imaginable. One that sticks out most in my mind is a jailhouse interview with a 20-year-old who hacked up his victim and spread his body parts at a ranch in Hill County. That didn't "connect" me with that defendant, nor am I "connected" with Joey Dauben. I write about people and their circumstances. I am not their "apologist." I have no idea what will happen in Navarro County with that trial. Whatever happens I will report. As regards the Ellis County trial, Joey Dauben obviously was guilty of something. I don't quite get the "fraud" element, but that is for legal scholars to figure out. I don't pretend to be a lawyer.
