DeleteI read this blog because it's absolutely top to bottom hilarious! The situation that my daughter and I have been put through is horrific and to survive it, you need to laugh once in a while. Child Abuse and what our government does to families isn't funny. As long as it isn't aimed at discrediting abuse survivors (and yes I use survivors. I'm not like Bill Windsor and label everyone as victims and nobodies like our govt wants us to look at ourselves as). I'm a good sport. Being bashed on a blog is nothing compared to going to court over and over and over again in an attempt to save my child. It's just like getting hit in the head with a baseball bat! Not all of us who work or worked in the system are pedo's or the boogeyman. Just tired of the emotional antics & dynamics within family courts.
I've taken a lot of shots at you on here and doubt you'd bother taking any advice I have any way but please, take it from someone who used to work within the system - seek out credible advice. Because at the moment, there are a lot of people who think you are a liar simply by the company you keep. The more you posts pics about your ex and get Bedwell to scream and shout incestous child molesting bastard... the more you come across as wanting revenge, nothing more.

Anyone's child who has been abused has every right to want revenge. Although I do not give a crap about revenge right now, I just want my daughter in a safe place. I've tried almost everything and this system is almost impossible. I took my case public because I was getting nowhere and I didn't know what else to do. I'll take any advice at this point if you know the damn secret code to make these authorities listen. I really do believe she's in danger and I don't care where she is as long as she's safe. No one in their right mind would serve jail time to protect their child unless they loved torturing themselves. And I am not one of those people lol. Jail isn't fun. And yes PLEASE pass the bacon because I threw up my pie a few months ago and would love to gain about 20 lbs. ;)

I think part of the issue looking at it from afar is that you may have went to the system too early (meaning you didn't have enough documented evidence of abuse)…. . and NO I don't mean you shouldn't report abuse immediately but reporting to CPS and going to the courts are two completely different things.
As hard as it is, from the courts position, keeping your little B* from her dad was against the custodial agreement. By showing defiance in the courtroom and going against the orders of the courts, you've made them your "enemy".
I don't know enough about your case to make an assumption, I only see you mirroring things like Bedwell (video-taping exchanges, etc….) and I shake my head and yell at the computer screen when I see you doing that because Connie did & she failed miserably. SO PLEASE stop doing the same thing. Are you following me? I'm not saying to stop being her friend but lady - wake up!
I get why you'd want to go public but public pressure and FB antics will only aggravate your circumstances within this often broken system. I'd roll my eyes too if you were on my case load to be honest. You come across as incredibly hyper-vigilant. There are two things I see. 1 - you were abused so are you deflecting your own childhood experience onto your daughter. Are you sure it's sexual abuse? I mean my hubby used to blow raspberry kisses on our little girls tummies and in a toddlers world, that's also close to their privates. Two - are you absolutely certain if she was abused, it was your ex and not someone else? THATS whats running through my head.

DeleteAt this point, I wish you could find yourself a good lawyer. NOT all of them are the devil or out for money. The best you could do is crawl back to the courts and obey ALL their orders no matter how unfair you believe they are. By showing compliance (which is what they want to see happen).. you're showing you respect and comprehend the 'power' they NOW have in your life.
Yes, it's often a power trip game but this broken system is the only thing you have. It's not like any magical cure exists and will automatically fall from the sky, magical lightning bolts included.
Really Loryn, as hard as it is to swallow that extremely bitter emotional pill, your ex is winning continually because you're disobeying the courts and the judge cannot see you're willingness to comply. If you keep going down this road, he will continue to win. There's no question about it.
There is no damn secret code but if you truly want whats best for your little B*... then you unfortunately have to obey what they're doing. Trust me on this, if you don't you will find yourself behind bars again and the likelihood of being placed on supervised visitation before the year is out... could also happen.
Inquiring minds want to know. What's behind the arson story? I see it floating out there but don't understand much.
@ Loryn: I appreciate your bravery for showing up in person. Ditto what yappy said. Since you invited advice, please consider this from a parent old enough to be your parent. Since you're current plan isn't working:
Delete1) make the time you have with your eldest count, work on your relationship. Allow her the freedom to love her father no matter what you think of him. Just remember, you loved him enough to have a baby with him. Why wouldn't she love him too? And if you don't learn to respect her feelings about her dad, you will always be the bad guy when she's old enough to think about it.
2) re: the courts - quit defying them. As long as you are combative, they can and will beat you into submission. Quit broadcasting your intent and talking about abuse publicly, take a break. Then go back in and play their game your way.
To repeat what yappy said: quit listening to people that have no success in what they are telling you to do.

Loryn, here is the deal. If you really believe your child is being molested by your ex, that is a horrific never-ending thought that would drive someone to madness. I get that. You are human and those emotions will overwhelm you. But those emotions are also your own worst enemy. You can not translate your emotions to other people. They can sympathize with you to a degree, but they wont feel what you are feeling.
DeleteSo then you start to close up inside. You find others that are in your situation and you can all seem to be on the same page without having to convince each other of what you are saying. Its like an unspoken sisterhood. The problem is that your goal is to convince a judge to rule a certain way. The sisterhood, while giving you confidence and support, doesn't challenge you to think beyond the realm of your own viewpoint.
Your task is to convince others, mainly those in authority, that what you believe is true. Your emotions do you no good in the arena. The same thing goes for your thoughts or opinions on how this country is run. It matters not what you think about how the system is, the only thing you need to know is that this IS the system and it will be the same one when you pass away someday, with only some slight changes. You must learn to play the game within the game. You can hate it all you want, but its not leaving us. All those in the sisterhood talking about a changed world might as well talk about unicorns coming down from the sky to save them.
Its good to have confidence and support like that which Connie and Presley can offer, but what they can not offer is advice on how to achieve your goal. I'm just assuming here, but I doubt your main goal is to make some kind of idealistic stand. I think you just want your child back right? So learn the game. The game certainly isn't perfect but that can work to your advantage if you will apply yourself to learn and work it. You will not change the system, and the more you try the more farther your child becomes from you. Forget the pie in the sky games and focus on what it takes to win your child back by playing within the system.
The following people are trying to tell you/advise you,that work on the other side. Collect the evidence and keep your visitation. Build your case, in time he will mess up. See this up and need to listen. to this blog talk who is this "Hank McGrath"?

I know who Act Of Courage is, out of respect for the Anon poster, am not providing the name. But, he's is all over just about every internet blog, forum and cause page calling foul because he was not awarded custody. Apparently for good reason (per court documents), as is true of some of the moms we've looked at.
Anon, is correct about the volume of filings, seems he should be declared a vexatious litigant. He appears to be harassing his ex wife over custody and Florida P&L over a rate hike.
A decision was handed down on 1/3/13 on the most recent appeal filed by this man. He petitioned to have the lower court judge dismissed, motion was denied. The lower court ruling re: custody was affirmed.
Maybe if he played nice and by the rules, he would have visitation. Excerpts from the decision:
"We are not unsympathetic to G*********'s argument that he should have some opportunity for timesharing with his minor child. But the circuit court's orders express concern about the child's well-being when G********* is involved,"
"G*********'s apparent misuse of the judicial system does not foreclose the possibility that he is able to be an appropriate parent.......The circuit court has appointed an attorney ad litem to protect the child's interests,"

Loryn, I know very little about your case, other than you believe in what Connie has told you to do. You should know that Connie did everything possible to sabotage her own case. There are many reasons she lost all custody and parental rights.

I can tell you I witnessed it evolve and become ever more extreme as she tried harder and harder to convince everyone there was abuse. I still do not believe her. I have read court documents, and her own words. I will warn you she hates me, and my questions about the total lack of any evidence supporting her claims of sexual abuse of her child. I will tell you she omits the evidence to the contrary. I will tell you she calls me a pedophile, and a pedophile supporter and even thinks at times I am her ex. In reality she knows who I am, and even posted my picture on one of her lame websites. LOL, why she wastes time on that instead of therapy for herself and doing ANYTHING to see her daughter again I will never know.
I really don't care if you are friends with her, she needs friends. But you really should listen to Yappy, and start thinking for yourself. Connie hasn't ever succeeded in court, WHY WOULD YOU TAKE HER ADVICE?
I remember asking for months why she did not follow the judges instructions to file an ex parte order to get her visitation restored. She never did answer what she was doing that was more important than doing what the judge said she should to restore visitation. Instead, she never saw her child again. I hope you find a different path.

No it was not instantaneously, and I'm not out of the woods yet. The point is you KNOW your former abuser more than anyone else does right? With that knowledge alone, I was able to let my former abusr HANG himself with his "vexatiuos litigation" and constant harassment and prove to the judge that it is not ME that is doing the "harassing" etc. It is extremely hard to play nice, this I KNOW. It's a nightmare having to pry your child's hands from you and force them into a car with a man they're afraid of. I thought several times I would lose my mind and perhaps I did, it's a total mind fuck. But I'm telling you as a person who has been in your position, including jail time, that it's better for your situation specifically at this point to play nice and not be the antagonizer is the correct way to go.
DeleteDo you know how many mothers I have seen lose whatever "visitation" they've had supervised or otherwise with this same situation? TOO MANY! I guess in lameman's terms, be the epitome of a "good mother" in the court's eyes. That you're trying to "co-parent" with this man to no avail. But I really think that you need to follow the advice that I received from Eileen King, the same as I'm giving you now, you are of no use to your child in jail, either one of your children at this point. They NEED you and yes you can fight but step away, look at what you have done so far and what hasn't worked. On another note, those that will claim to save you, help you or get you justice with the likes of pie focker and Karin Huffer are in this for $$$$$$$$$. You see there are the experts on the side of fathers that get $$$$$$$ and then there is Huffer etc. who get money from dv victims. Charging $495 for a class that won't get you any further in your case but will make Huffer a bit richer. You know? IMO a private investigator costs way less than any lawyer or "expert". I don't know what to tell you but taking advice from connie who has NOTHING to lose anymore is very dangerous. If anyone is a dv expert it's US the survivors!

There's no question the courts are viewing all your antics and all you've done is dig a deeper hole. Find someone who knows how to climb out of this hole. Connect with this woman above and have a true heart to heart. Follow the successful - then you are almost guaranteed to win AND you also must keep your emotions in check.
Which I know is stupid because we're all emotionally driven beings but as you can see, its used against you. If your baby is being abused, I wish you all the luck in the world.

DeleteJennifer just called Holiday Inn at Nat'l Airport in Arlington. It is a mile from Crowne Plaza hotel. Daily parking fee is $16 for guests in our block rate/group. Rack room rate is about $40 more a night. "Beautiful outdoor pool" is a taunt in February. We plan to get there on the 4th. Anyone else coming from Arkansas or Oklahoma?

Great advice to Loryn but several problems... Lo-Run was not abused by anyone and "LO-Run"- keeps claiming it. I posted here b4 if Loryn keeps lying, wed go get court docs and guess what....Loryn did absolutely, with the document in my hand, falsely accuse her dad of rape, she lied and told everyone she had not. It took time and money to hire our attorney to search this out since I do not live in Ohio but the history is not what LoRun says. We have found Lo-Run was in her dads custody for over a decade and that changed only after Lo-Run made sexual abuse allegations. Lo-Runs mother appears to have been grossly in arrears on child support for nearly the whole decade and up to $9,000 behind at times. She also appears to have 5 unsuccessful custody reversal attempts. Looks like she following in her moms footsteps. Maybe another person who appears unhealthy for her. Google has some interesting info as it appears also Lo-Run was a super star at track and field, we were able to find that she had won two national championships and had numerous National qualifications in the USATF Olympic feeder program. Looks like she threw alot away to go down her present path.

DeleteI never said my father sexually abused me. My fathers rights were terminated after he threatened to kill me. A time before that my entire fathers entire side of the family too my brother and I into hiding from him. I have the police reports from my family members and everything. Those court records aren't hard to post either. I'm not sure who this person is or where they get their info from. I was not a victim of domestic violence by my daughters father and never said I was. I am not a liar and I honestly appreciate everyone's adivce to me. I know my daughter is in danger and she will be safe very soon. Abusers can only hide for so long and I'm going to do do the best that I can for her and be the best mommy I can be until then. I am taking the advice to heart. I have to stop this cycle of abuse. If you research this story and try to wipe away the fact that Crazy Mary posted it, you will see that there are issues in that case. That's the problem, stories of injustice getting mixed up with the crazy stories makes them all look like crazy stories.

I am still trying to find information on those guys, but that is not really the issue I was raising. It is Mary's frightening tone to her letters. She sounds more and more unstable, which could get her thrown in jail. These are government officials and I don't think they will take kindly to her coming to DC, eluding to taking it over. Just my opinion.

DeleteYeah, this is one story that appears to have legitimate issues. Not corruption, but a general failure of the systems. A higher court did decide that these guys should be re-tried but I quit researching before finding out why that hasn't happened.
DeleteI got the impression legal process was stalled due to lack of funds/interest. If I win the lotto, I would put up the money to investigate and appeal the cases against these men.
This is where these loons try to legitimize their garbage. They talk about cases that truly might be legit blended in to their own stories. Mary's range of subjects varies from purple people eaters to Obama. But isn't that what Dauben did? He along with with former "staff" talked about the evil of Disney while talking about real cases. Real cases that the only reason families knew of him was because he continuously mentioned their names and the names of their deceased child.

I just saw them for the first time, but they are stupid. How utterly ridiculous to claim that photos used throughout the trip to show where I was (when I was always in a hotel room filming with rarely ever a chance to go outside) is somehow wrong. Get a life! None of those photos ever claimed I was at that point at that time. They were simply provided as a supplement to an ongoing story about a trip to all 50 states.
